The department flag is red parted by an off-centred white cross. In canton is the golden badge of the command,
a gun barrel in pale, superimposing a rifle in bend sinister and a sabre in bend, all surrounded by a wreath and surmounted by a royal crown.
The flag was approved in 2003. It had been the flag of the Army Operational Command (Hærens Operative Kommando) before.
